Ring in 2026: 108 Sun Salutations with Katie & Spring
Thursday, January 1st | 9am-10:30am
Start your new year with intention, community, and the transformative power of tradition. Join us on New Year's Day for 108 Sun Salutations—a sacred practice that honors both the closing of the past year and the fresh possibilities of the one ahead.
Why 108? In yoga philosophy, the number 108 holds profound significance. It represents wholeness and the connection between the individual and the universe. There are 108 energy lines (nadis) converging to form the heart chakra, 108 Upanishads in the sacred texts, and the distance between the Earth and Sun is approximately 108 times the Sun's diameter. This practice offers a moving meditation that allows us to honor these connections while setting intentions for the year ahead.
Why New Year's Day? As we cross the threshold into 2026, this practice becomes a powerful ritual of release and renewal. Each sun salutation gives you the opportunity to let go of what no longer serves you and invite in clarity about what you want to cultivate in the coming year. It's the perfect way to embody our 2026 studio motto: Grow with the Flow. As you move through each repetition, you'll discover that growth doesn't come from forcing or striving—it emerges when we trust the rhythm, honor our body's wisdom, and stay present with what is.
What to Expect: Katie and Spring will guide you through this journey with mostly traditional Sun Salutation As. The beauty of this practice is that it's completely adaptable—move at your own pace, modify as needed, and honor where you are in each moment. This is about the journey, not perfection.
Bring water, a towel, and an open heart. Let's welcome 2026 together and grow with the flow.
*Some yoga experience recommended*
