Yin Yoga~Let Go and Return to Stillness with Ann
Friday, October 17th: 6pm - 7pm
Mid-October is the heart of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. The days are shorter, the air is cooler, and nature models the art of release—trees shed their leaves, harvest is complete, and the earth begins to draw inward. This is a busy season, so we can help offset our full schedules and honor ourselves and the season by setting an intention to let go of what is no longer serving us and be present in our bodies.
In Yin Yoga, we use longer held postures to allow for the deep opening of the connective tissues. Yin yoga improves joint mobility and flexibility, balances the mind and body, increases circulation and flow of chi to target areas, and reduces stress and anxiety. Most postures are done sitting or lying down, and use of supportive props is encouraged. Our practice will close Some yoga experience is recommended.
