Beltane Sacred Circle with Gayla Downey

Wednesday, May 1st

7:30pm - 8:30pm

Celebrate Beltane or Bealtaine (pronounced Be-owl-tin-eh)  (May Day) with Gayla through powerful ritual and connection to the spirit realm. Like Samhain (Halloween), the veil between the physical world and spiritual realm is thinner than usual.

This May Day festival celebrates the midway point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. The energy of Beltane is one of action, passion, and connection and the fire element.

This event will include meditation, journaling, and the option to create a  Burlá Ghuí or  "prayer bundle", and share about your item for the Beltane alter.

You may bring a item to add to our shared altar and also items for the Burlá Ghuí like flowers, twigs, berries, leaves, stones, feathers, or anything you connect with from nature.

Yin Yoga and Singing Bowls for Spring with Ann Schatzman

Friday, May 10th

6pm - 7pm

Yin for the Spring Transition.

Spring is a time to set goals and breathe new life into our visions for the future. Sometimes spring can bring in feelings of being ‘stuck’ and stagnant energy. Our spring yin practice will focus on poses that stimulate the liver and gallbladder meridians which help guide qi through our bodies so that we can free up any latency or stagnation.

In yin yoga, we use longer held postures to allow for the deep opening of the connective tissues. Yin yoga improves joint mobility and flexibility, balances the mind and body, increases circulation and flow of chi to target areas and reduces stress and anxiety. Most postures are done sitting or lying down and use of supportive props is encouraged. Our practice will close with the soothing sounds of singing bowls and chimes.

Share Circle: 5:00pm - 6:00pm

Optional Free Yoga: 6pm

Join Gayla for this special FREE community resource, SheRecovers® Share Circle.

What exactly is a Sharing Circle, you might be wondering?

It is a circle of support for women who are in or seeking recovery – to connect, learn, heal, and share within a group of like-hearted individuals, whatever you might be recovering from. We're all recovering from something, and you don't have to recover alone.

Sharing Circles will be held on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00, followed by a 15-minute break and then an optional 30-minute trauma-informed yoga practice from 7:15 to 7:45.
