My passion to help guide others in their wellness journey began in college when my strength and conditioning coach inspired me to pursue a degree in nutrition and exercise physiology. During this time I was running track, and while I dabbled in yoga a bit, I never fully committed to a regular practice.
Fast forward several years and two kiddos later, I found myself in a constant state of anxiety along with persistent pain from rheumatoid arthritis. Fortunately, I found a gym that provided childcare and began a consistent yoga practice. Yoga became my salvation. I was specifically drawn to the breathwork and the meditative aspects of yoga. I found freedom, space, balance and healing - the practice was transformative and all-encompassing. I knew I wanted to share this practice with others. In my classes, I aim to hold a safe, welcoming space for students to explore mindful movement to encourage students toward deeper awareness of their emotional, mental and physical body.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from MU. I earned my 200-hour yoga teacher certification through Urban Breath Yoga in November 2017. In 2020, I completed an additional 50-hour Yin yoga training from Urban Breath Yoga. I am currently enrolled in the 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training at South River Yoga.

Off the mat, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two boys, and two pups, reading, being outdoors, and traveling/camping.
