friday, august 2nd - prop it up!
5:45 - 8:45pm
registration link below. space is limited.

Are you interested in learning how to use yoga props to support your practice so you get more out of the time you spend on your mat? Join guest teacher, Cindy Kostecki, who owns Crowtown Yoga in Coshocton, Ohio, to learn the in’s and out’s of using props to support your yoga, breath & meditation practices.

Props help practitioners at all levels gain the sensitivity of a pose while receiving the benefits over time without overextending themselves. Props allow students to practice asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath control) with greater effectiveness, ease, and stability. This workshop includes a practice and some postural breakdowns where you will explore how and when to use yoga props such as: blocks, belts, blankets and bolsters.

Yoga for low back & hip pain
1:30 - 4:30PM

It is estimated the 80-90% of people at some point in their lives will suffer from a chronic back issue. If you fall into this percentage, this workshop is for you. Cindy will guide you through a practice specifically created to stabilize the pelvic floor to support the low back, reduce that feeling of tightness around your low back and strengthen specific muscles to support your low back.

You will also learn more about the anatomy of the sacroiliac joints which are critical hinging points between the upper and lower body and often play a contributing role in low back, pelvic or hip pain. You will also learn about what can cause pain in the sacroiliac-joint area and how to avoid it.

Workshop counts toward CEU hours for yoga teachers.
