My yoga journey began in 2008 while attending college. I took a 1-credit hour class that planted a seed and eventually bloomed into a desire to share the practice with others. In 2016, I completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training certification and have been teaching ever since. My practice is rooted in the Vinyasa (flow) style with an emphasis on mindful movement and controlled breathing techniques. When attending one of my classes, you can expect pose modifications, the frequent use of props, interesting music, and maybe a few laughs.
Yoga has helped me through some of the most challenging times in my life. That is why I am passionate about introducing more people to yoga, particularly those who are members of the LGBTQIA and immigrant communities in St. Louis.
