Ayurveda is often referred to as the sister science to the healing practices of Yoga. Ayurveda translates to the science of living or knowledge of life, and the practices of Ayurveda are aimed at increasing one’s awareness of imbalances in their earliest stages. The primary focus of Ayurveda is diet, routine, yoga, meditation and herbal remedies. Each week we will explore a specific Ayurvedic topic, as well as meditation and breath work. This class does not include a yoga practice, but there is a yoga class that meets from 8 - 9:15 AM prior to this lecture series.
